The Data Path field can be found under the Details tab of each of your mailboxes. The Data Path determines where your data "goes", whether it is directly to a connection set up on the mailbox or to the Root of your network, where you may have a single or dedicated connection for all or some of your mailboxes.
The choices for Data Path are:
- Root
- Mailbox
If you choose Root, you must have a connection set up on your root level and all inbound data for this mailbox will go to that connection.
If you choose Mailbox, you must have a connection set up on this mailbox and all inbound data for this mailbox will go to that connection.
You can update your data path at any time, allowing for you to have an alternate connection on either the root or mailbox in the event one of the connections is not working as expected.
